University Housing
Several universities in the Washington, DC area offer summer housing for students working in the city for the summer.

American University

Georgetown University The Telephone number for the Summer Housing Program is (202) 687-4560. GU also has an Off-Campus Housing referral service.

George Washington University
The Summer Housing Services number is (202) 496-6305.

Sublets
Many DC-area students go away for the summer, and need somebody to sublet their apartments. You can place your own "Housing Wanted" ad in the campus papers, or respond to the Summer Sublet ads.

Washington City Paper
The City Paper lists rental properties in the classified section (202) 332-2100.

Washington Post
The Post has a searchable classified housing section. The Post also has Roommates Preferred, a Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia Area Roommate Referral Service. A fee is charged for this service.
