Summary
NEMA seeks to expand the Brazilian and Mexican markets by focusing on standards.
NEMA plans to achieve this by opening offices in Sao Paulo and Mexico City,
holding technical seminars abroad, studying the market, and organizing reverse
trade missions. These efforts, plus effective in-country promotion, input on
intergovernmental panels, and involvement in electrical code development, will
help establish U.S. standards, and the products its electrical producers manufacture,
as viable long-term fixtures in Latin American markets.
