Obama Trade Official Awards Minnesota Company with Export Achievement Certificate
MINNEAPOLIS – Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Francisco Sánchez today presented an Export Achievement Certificate (EAC) to Horton, Inc., a Roseville-based airflow systems manufacturer. Sánchez toured Horton’s manufacturing facility and met with its employees to discuss the positive impact that exporting is having on the company and the community.
“Horton has seen remarkable success by making exporting a central component to their business model,” said Under Secretary Sánchez. “I am proud to present Horton with an Export Achievement Certificate that recognizes the contributions the company is making to support the local economy and create jobs. At the International Trade Administration, helping companies like Horton expand their business and find continued export success is our number one priority.”
The EAC recognizes small and medium-sized enterprises that have successfully entered the international marketplace for the first time or have successfully entered a new market. Horton utilized services provided by the International Trade Administration’s U.S. Export Assistance Center in Minneapolis to introduce its products to new markets. ITA staff assisted with Gold Key Services, provided market intelligence, counseled the firm on free trade agreements, and helped company representatives to meet with distributors and customers leading to expanded sales.
Horton is a premium provider of engine cooling solutions worldwide. The company manufactures and markets fan drives, fans and related components in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) applications and aftermarket segments globally to the automotive market as well as industrial appliances.
