White Pages Directory…Emergency Contact Information The White Pages Directory was designed to support the information needs of ITA employees. Although White Pages was introduced several months ago, many employees have not taken the opportunity to enter critical emergency contact information. The data indicates there are only three offices where 50 percent or more of employees have entered emergency contact information. There are signs that the rate of participation is improving. Employees also have the opportunity to enter the name of their supervisors who will have access to this information. Together, these two pieces of information form a critical communication link in case of an emergency. Individuals who have not entered their emergency contact information and the name of their supervisor in the White Pages Directory should do so now. If you need information or assistance, contact Charles Jefferson at (202) 482-6078, via email at charles_Jefferson@ita.doc.gov; or Seth Raley at (202) 482-3756 or via email at seth_raley@ita.doc.gov Quarterly Property
Inventory Due November 15th ITA’s
Quarterly Property Inventory Update is due on November
15th. In order to
achieve a clean audit, ITA’s Property Inventory should be kept
up-to-date. Organizations
must certify their property annually and report quarterly to OOMS that the
inventory is current. If you
are a Purchase Card holder or are involved in obtaining accountable
property, please provide your Property Custodian with purchase records for
entry into the inventory system.
OOMS will conduct periodic audits to ensure that ITA’s Property
Inventory is up-to-date. If
you have any questions, contact your Accountability Officer or Jeff
Scherr at (202) 482-3266.
Review Your Official Personnel File You are advised to review your Official Personnel File (OPF) at least one year before your planned retirement to ensure that it is in proper order and make certain that all Federal service information is on file. This will allow the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) sufficient time to request any missing information. If military, temporary, or refunded service is involved, contact OHRM for more information on how these services will affect your retirement annuity. For additional information, contact Vanessa Lewis at (202) 482- 8327, or Dottie Bowling at (202) 482-3504.

ITA remains under a Continuing Resolution (CR) in lieu of an annual appropriation through November 21, 2003, while the Senate attempts to finalize several issues involving Appropriation Bills, including the Commerce-Justice-State and Related Agencies (CJS) Bill. Senate Appropriators still hope to pass the CJS Bill as stand-alone legislation, however Hill leaders have raised the possibility that it could be rolled into a multi-bill “omnibus” package. Once the Senate passes this bill, the Appropriators will be able to meet with their House colleagues, who have already passed their version of the bill, in Conference Committee to negotiate the final appropriations bill and report. If there are any questions, contact Beryle Randall at (202) 482-4873. OMB is currently reviewing the FY 2005 budget request and related materials. The OMB “passback” is expected November 24, 2003, after which ITA will have a short period to respond. If there are any questions about this, contact Beryle Randall at (202) 482-4873.Where Do
