Where Do I Find ... Procedures on how to report lost, stolen, and missing property?

Personal property accountability is the responsibility of each ITA employee, and each employee must take reasonable precautions to protect any IT equipment assigned to them, including laptops, Blackberries/PDAs, etc.  If the property is lost, stolen, or missing, you must report it immediately to your Property Custodian, ITA's Property Management Officer, Jeff Scherr (Jeffrey.Scherr@mail.doc.gov), and the OCIO Customer Support Hotline (202)482-1955 or 1-877-206-0645.  A complete list of procedures on how to report lost, stolen, and missing property is available at http://www.ita.doc.gov/ooms/ooms47.htm.  If you have questions, please contact ITA's Property Management Officer, Jeff Scherr, at (202)482-3266.

GAO Contacts

ITA employees are often asked to meet with GAO teams reviewing specific topics at the request of a Member of Congress.  There is a process in place to handle these requests. Certain ITA and Departmental officials must be notified of any meetings scheduled and the topics to be discussed. Most of the GAO team members are aware of our process and contact OOMS with their initial request.  However, if you are contacted directly by anyone from GAO to schedule an entrance or exit conference, or to provide information, please notify Linda Bell, OOMS, immediately.  Linda is the ITA liaison with GAO and will make sure that the appropriate ITA and Departmental officials are made aware of the request. She can be reached at (202)482-3032 or Linda.Bell@mail.doc.gov

DOC Publishes the FY 2006 Performance and Accountability Report (PAR)

On November 15 the Department published the FY 2006 Performance and Accountability Report to the Department's web site. Congress mandates these documents by statute, under the Government Performance and Results Act. The annual Performance and Accountability Report describes the results and performance achieved by DOC Bureaus during the previous Fiscal Year (FY 2006) and provides detailed information about key areas of program performance. An electronic copy is available from the DOC website at http://www.osec.doc.gov/bmi/Budget/06APPR/PAR06.pdf.  For more information on ITA's portion of the Department's PAR or regarding ITA's planning and performance management program, contact Ed Meyer at (202)482-3304.
