The Accounting Division prepares accounting reports
and formal financial statements in conformance with the Chief
Financial Office Act and other Office of Management and Budget
requirements. The Division serves as the representative
for the National Business Center (NBC), the International Trade
Administration's (ITA) accounting contractor, and is responsible
for prescribing ITA-wide accounting policies, procedures, standards
and controls. This includes the development, issuance,
and maintenance of all manuals, handbooks and related directives.
The Director of the Accounting Division acts as the focal point
for General Accounting Office and Departmental Inspector General
audit activities relating to financial management in ITA.
