Virtual Trade Mission to China Computerworld Expo
2000
WASHINGTON, D.C.-The U.S. Department of Commerce is extending the
deadline for U.S. information technology firms to participate in
the first ever U.S.A. Virtual Trade Mission to China Computerworld
Expo, in Beijing, August 21-24, 2000. The deadline has been extended
to August 4, 2000.
The U.S. Virtual Trade Mission to China will assist participating
companies in making valuable business contacts and gaining market
exposure to one of the world's fastest growing IT markets. Companies
who will be participating include:
Financial Intranet, Inc., NeuralWare,
Computercraft Corporation, KEYTEK, INC., Advanced Information
Services, Inc (AIS), Moon Global Network, Inc., Numonics, Raritan
Computer, Sonic Foundry, w-Trade Technologies, Western Scientific,
and Oryx.
Firms aspiring to break into the emerging Chinese market are urged
to take advantage of such a cost-efficient investment. This is the
most effective opportunity to get ahead in a vibrant marketplace
as China transforms itself into an information based economy.
This is the 8th China Computerworld Expo and it will
be held concurrently with the 16th World Computer Congress
and the 6th Networking China Expo. The combination of
these three events is China's largest IT trade show, with an estimated
300,000 invited attendees. Products appropriate to this exhibition
include computers, software, peripherals, Internet and online services.
Attendees will include major corporate and government users, CIOs,
MIS and KM professionals, resellers, ISVs, and more. This
Department of Commerce virtual trade mission will be the first of
its kind that allows participants to leverage the Internet and video-conferencing
technology to market their products and services throughout China
for one year without having to travel.
At China Computerworld Expo, your company's products and profile
will be featured in Chinese on an electronic showcase (http://e-expoUSA.doc.gov)
of U.S. products and services that visitors will be able to access
online, and your product literature will also be displayed at the
show. Our experienced trade specialists, interpreters, and embassy
staff will be on site to publicize your products to potential buyers.
The cost of participation in the electronic showcase is $750. As
an optional follow-up activity, you can participate for an additional
fee in a Video Gold Key Service, whereby the Department of Commerce
in China will arrange high quality, pre-screened, one-on-one appointments
via video conferencing with contacts whose interests and objectives
match yours.
