Bush Administration Talks Trade at Women Business Enterprises Roundtable Las Vegas, Nev. --Today, Jacqueline Hayes-Byrd, Executive Director of Global Diversity Initiative, U.S. Commercial Service was in Las Vegas, Nev. to highlight Bush Administration efforts to help women-owned businesses learn to grow their businesses through exporting. Hayes-Byrd gave remarks at the "Capitalizing on Global Opportunities for Women Business Enterprises" Roundtable. The U.S. Department of Commerce/U.S. Commercial Service GDI and the Las Vegas U.S. Export Assistance Center met with women business leaders to discuss Export Assistance Programs. These programs include partnering for education and outreach; partnering to identify and showcase successful women exporters; improving communication to the women-owned business enterprises through local women's business networks; and mentoring programs for exporting. "This is a great example of what President Bush has been talking
about - ensuring that American business-owners are given the right tools
