EVANS PRAISES TODAY'S EMPLOYMENT RESULTS WASHINGTON, D.C. - Commerce Secretary Donald L. Evans praised today's
employment results: "What a difference a year makes. A wakeup call
has been sent that the United States economy is back. For three straight
months, we've had job gains with more Americans working today than at
any other time in our history. Since August, 1.4 million jobs have been
created, including gains in manufacturing and construction. People are
getting jobs and businesses are feeling confident as President Bush's
tax cuts are taking hold. We will continue to push the President's pro-growth
agenda until every American who wants a job has it." |
