MEMORANDUM FOR THE SECRETARY
FROM: Timothy J. Hauser,
Acting Under Secretary for International Trade
SUBJECT: Antidumping Duty
Investigations of Stainless Steel Angle from Japan, Korea, and
Spain
At noon on March 19, 2001, the Department
of Commerce announced the results of the final determinations
in the antidumping duty (AD) investigations of stainless steel
angle (SSA) from Japan, Korea, and Spain. This decision was made
by the Department on March 16, 2001. For the SSA case on Japan,
the AD margins ranged from 70.48 to 114.51 percent. For the SSA
case on Korea, the AD margins ranged from 40.21 to 99.56 percent.
For the SSA case on Spain, the AD margins ranged from 24.32 to
61.45 percent. Because none of the selected producers/exporters
of the subject merchandise in each case decided to participate
in these investigations, these final determinations were based
upon the use of "adverse facts available" as required by the law
(section 776 of the Statute).
