FACT SHEET Certain Raw In-shell Pistachios and Certain Roasted
In-shell Pistachios Background: These new shipper reviews, covering imports entered
from October 2000 through September 2001, were initiated at the request
of Tehran Negah-Nima Trading Company (Nima) in 2001. The Department issued
preliminary results of these reviews on September 4, 2002, finding non-use
of the subsidy programs in question. The final results are based on partial
adverse facts available due to Nimas failure to fully disclose information
during the course of the reviews. These same rates will be the cash deposit
rates for all future imports through this supply chain. The rates noted
above are lower than the rates found in the original investigation: 99.52
percent for raw in-shell pistachios and 317.89 percent for roasted in-shell
pistachios, which would still apply to imports from other Iranian producers/exporters.
