L. William Zahner is the CEO/ President of A. Zahner Company. Mr. Zahner earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas. He was awarded an Honorary AIA Degree from the American Institute of Architects and received the prestigious Copper Metal Award from Associazione Italiana Di Metallurgia, Milan, Italy. Mr. Zahner and his firm have received numerous honors and awards for their extensive design build work around the world. Mr. Zahner is a world renowned lecturer on the design and use of architectural metal through digital definition and aerospace engineering means and methods. L. William Zahner is the author of two books and numerous articles which are the 'comprehensive guides' describing the use of metal in architecture, sharing his wealth of knowledge derived from being a fourth-generation expert. Mr. Zahner is also an accomplished sculptor. Moreover, he serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Kansas School of Engineering, the Nerman Museum of Art, and has served as Chairman of the Kansas City Art Institute.
