Dr. Albert Green
Dr. Albert Green is the CEO of Kent Displays, Inc. and serves on its Board of Directors. He has held these positions since joining the company in June 2007.
As Kent Displays CEO, Dr. Green has guided the company's transition from a focus on research to product development and manufacturing. Kent Displays successfully launched the award-winning Boogie Board LCD eWriter in 2010 and formed Improv Electronics, a Kent Displays subsidiary focused on consumer packaged goods. The eWriter's writing surface is a flexible Reflex® LCD manufactured on the world's only roll-to-roll LCD production line, which is located in Kent, Ohio. The company will commission a second roll-to-roll line in Kent in 2013.
In addition to leading Kent Displays, Dr. Green has provided his international trade expertise to the U.S government in several capacities: as an advisor to President Barrack Obama's Export Council, as a business delegation member for the 2011 U.S. Commerce Trade Mission to India led by Secretary Gary Locke, and as a participant in the export session of President Obama's Winning the Future Small Business Forum in 2011. He is also a frequent contributor at U.S. Commerce Department functions and was appointed to its Manufacturing Council in 2012.
At the local level, Dr. Green serves on the Board of Directors of Notre Dame College and NorTech and the Business Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. He is an adjunct professor of Chemical Physics at Kent State University.
Prior to joining Kent Displays, Dr. Green was Vice President and Division Manager at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
Dr. Green holds over 25 patents in the areas of photonic systems, displays, and advanced materials. He holds a BS in Physics from The University of Chicago and a PhD in Physics from Stanford University.
