Michael J. Cadigan serves as General Manager, IBM Microelectronics, Systems and Technology Group. Mr. Cadigan is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the IBM Microelectronics business, including semiconductor and packaging process development activity, establishing alliance partners, semiconductor and packaging manufacturing, product organization / sales and marketing and customer fulfillment. Mr. Cadigan has overall profit and loss responsibility for IBM's microelectronics business. Semiconductor process development and manufacturing are key foundational elements of IBM's Systems and Technology Group hardware platform which differentiate IBM's systems technology in the marketplace.
Prior Assignments at IBM:
Brand General Manager, OEM Microelectronics Systems and Technology Group, July 2004. Mr. Cadigan was responsible for overseeing IBM's original equipment manufacturer (OEM) microelectronics business and its overall financial results, investment plan, portfolio and client decisions.
Vice President of Manufacturing and Logistics, Integrated Supply Chain, January 2003. Mr. Cadigan led IBM's internal manufacturing and fulfillment operations and had extended responsibility for outsourced manufacturing activity worldwide. Additionally, his organization provided logistics support worldwide for all IBM units.

Mr. Cadigan has spent the majority of his career in the IBM Technology Group, holding a number of executive positions including General Manager of the Interconnect Business Unit, and multiple IBM Site Location Executive positions in manufacturing facilities in Texas, North Carolina and New York. The majority of these assignments have been in product management, manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Mr. Cadigan is a 1979 graduate of the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
