Steve Braig, president & CEO of Wilmington Massachusetts based Trexel has been a global executive in the capital equipment manufacturing industry for 20 years. Prior to joining Trexel in 2010, Braig has been CEO of injection molding and robotics manufacturer Engel North America with responsibility or 3 manufacturing plants, and before his leadership role at Engel has been CEO of robotics and automation manufacturer Automated Assemblies Corp, a Nypro company.
He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal Institute of Technology in his native Switzerland and subsequently continued his business education at the Management Zentrum St. Gallen, Switzerland and at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Braig also serves on the National Board of Directors of the Society of the Plastics Industry.
Trexel Inc. is the exclusive provider of the patented MuCell ® process. Physical microcellular plastic processing was invented in the 90's at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, M.I.T. Trexel was founded in 1996 with the objective of industrializing and commercializing this unique process and automotive lightweighting solution.
