The International Trade Administration (ITA) located in Washington DC regularly
utilizes the services of student volunteers to benefit the student and
the agency. The work of the ITA is varied. It may entail advising on
international economic policy, administering international trade
treaties, monitoring import and exports, promoting exports, and
many other trade-related functions. Some offices are an
organization specific industry function; others on a
geographical basis, while others collect and disseminate trade
statistics. An article further describing the functions of ITA
is enclosed for your review.
ITA is interested in students majoring in international relations,
economics, international business, international affairs,
international politics, law or other related fields of study.
Good writing skills are important. An attempt is made
to match a student's education and/or experience with a relevant
assignment.
