ITA Customer Service Award

  • Winners are selected by the Under Secretary based on recommendations from peer review panels;
  • Presented to individuals;
  • Recognizes employees who have demonstrated and provided extraordinary customer service which has stressed and emphasized customer satisfaction and improved services;
  • All ITA employees are eligible except Senior Executive and Schedule C employees;
  • Nominees must have a minimum of one year of service in ITA at the time of nomination and have a "meets Expectations" (or equivalent) rating;
  • Employees may receive the award only once in a three year period;
  • This award will be presented annually at the ITA Awards Ceremony;
  • Check with Career Development Division for detailed information on nomination and selection criteria;
  • Any employee may initiate a nomination using a CD 326 "Recommendation for Recognition" form, with a written narrative justification of at least 3 paragraphs but no more than 1 typed, single spaced page. Narratives should focus on clearly demonstrable customer service that is widely recognized;
  • The nominator must obtain a supervisory endorsement at least at the Office Director level;
  • All nominations are due in the Career Development Division by end of 2nd quarter of the fiscal year;
  • Up to 4 awards may be given annually according to the following distribution: one (1) clerical/support employee; up to two (2) professional employees, and up to one (1) supervisor.
  • Award recipients will receive up to $3,000 and a framed certificate.
