Astro-Med Inc. of Warwick manufactures testing and measuring equipment used by the aerospace, medical, and automotive industries. The company approached the CS Providence office for assistance in expanding its international sales to Latin America. The CS suggested that Astro-Med participate in the CS-supported Hospitalar catalog event in Brazil where its product-literature, videos, and samples would be showcased to potential buyers and distributors of medical equipment. As a result, Astro-Med completed a $50,000 new-to-market sale to Brazil.
Roger Williams University of Bristol approached the CS Providence
office seeking assistance in increasing foreign student recruitment. After
extensive counseling and market research, the CS suggested that the
university participate in the CS-supported University Recruitment Trade
Fair in China. As a result, Roger Williams recruited 14 new students from
China with an increase in tuition-based revenue valued at approximately
$545,000.
