John A. Luke, Jr.MeadWestvaco Corporation
Mr. Luke, is President and Chief Executive Officer of MeadWestvaco Corporation. Previously, he served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Westvaco Corporation.
Mr. Luke began his career with Westvaco in 1979. In 1989, he became a member of the Board of Directors. He was elected Executive Vice President in 1990, President and Chief Executive Officer in 1992 and Chairman in 1996.
Mr. Luke currently serves as a director of The Timken Company, The Bank of New York Company, Inc. and the National Association of Manufacturers. He also serves as a trustee for the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research and is a director and past chairman of the American Forest & Paper Association.
Mr. Luke holds a B.A. from Lawrence University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
