Beatriz (Betty) Manetta founded Argent Associates, Inc., a certified minority and female-owned company, in 1998. Argent provides inventory control, materials management and logistics to the retail and telecom industries. Prior to her new venture, Betty worked for more than 20 years in the telecommunications industry with AT&T and Lucent Technologies. She has more than 10 years of international experience, conducting business in the telecommunications sector in the Middle East and Latin America.
Ms. Manetta was born in Argentina and grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Accounting from Rutgers University and holds a Masters degree in International Studies from Seton Hall University. Additionally, she attended Thunderbird University’s Corporate Education program, International Consortium, while employed with AT&T. Betty is an active participant with the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Women’s President Organization. She is Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Minority Business Round Table in Washington, D.C., and is a member of Saint Elizabeth’s Board of Directors as Director of Legislative Issues. Dialogue on Diversity, Inc. honored Betty as one of the recipients of the 2001 Entrepreneurial Excellence Award for her outstanding achievements as a woman entrepreneur.

Argent Associates,
Inc., a certified minority business enterprise, was established in September
1998 to provide inventory control, materials management and logistics to the
retail and telecommunications industries. In early 2001, Argent expanded into
the engineering and installation arenas to offer total, end-to-end solutions
for its customers.

Manetta, who is Hispanic, is President and CEO of the company. Through her
vision and under her guidance, companies rely on Argent to handle product
procurement, equipment and sourcing, packaging, warehousing and fulfillment.
As a nationwide,
full-service provider of turnkey solutions to the telecommunications, cable and
related industries, Argent offers comprehensive services for systems
integration, central office (EF&I), customer premise IT design and
solution, and wireless. Services include design, engineering, building,
installation and maintenance for all facets of the market.
The company is
headquartered in Edison, N.J. and has warehouse and staging facilities in Florida,
Georgia, New Jersey and Texas.
